We will have a traditional Indian wedding from November 8-10, 2017 in Udaipur, India. This is your chance to see Alex ride an elephant!
Udaipur is located amidst the Aravali range of mountains in Rajasthan, the largest state in India. It is, in large part, encompassed by the Thar Desert.
Founded in the late 16th century, Udaipur was the final capital of the Mewar kingdom. In fact, the Mewar Royal Family still lives in Udaipur and its head is the symbolic ruler of the city. The rich history of this city gives it a very romantic, yet very traditional feel.
Udaipur has been called "the City of Love", "the Lake City" and "the Venice of the East", and is arguably the most romantic place in India.
All events will be at Hotel Fatehgarh and Hotel Lakend, where we will all be staying.

Airport options:
Udaipur has a domestic airport, with daily flights to and from Mumbai and Delhi. If you're flying to Udaipur (this is the preferred option), we can arrange for airport transfers to the hotel.
If, however, you are unable to get a good flight connection to Udaipur, you could fly to the nearest international airport in Ahmedabad which is about 160 miles (4 hours driving distance) from Udaipur. We can arrange to have you picked up from Ahmedabad and transported to Udaipur by car/private coach depending on how many people are arriving together. Major International airlines flying into Ahmedabad are: Air India, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways. There are several options for one-stop flights to Ahmedabad from New York and most major US cities.
After the wedding, on Friday 10th Nov., we can arrange for drop off at either Udaipur airport or at Ahmedabad airport.
Suggested Itineraries:
You could leave from the US on Friday 3rd Nov or on Saturday 4th Nov and reach India by Saturday or Sunday night. You could then take a few days to explore Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Agra/ Udaipur before heading to Udaipur for the wedding.
Alternatively, you could leave from the US on Monday 6th Nov, and fly directly to Udaipur or Ahmedabad.
